The Council on Geostrategy and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in London are pleased to invite you to our upcoming event: ‘A new security architecture? Russia’s war against Ukraine and transatlantic strategy‘.
As Ukraine enters the eleventh year of its defence against Russian aggression, the transatlantic alliance faces a critical test of unity, strategy and resolve. Since the start of the war, the United Kingdom (UK), the European Union (EU) and the United States (US) have demonstrated remarkable unity in supporting Ukraine – through robust military aid, economic sanctions, diplomatic engagement and significant financial contributions.
However, the new US administration has adopted a different approach to European security, reopening dialogue with Russia and pushing for a swift end to the war. This shift requires European countries to adapt their strategies and explore new proposals for stepping up their role.
This high-level seminar will bring together leading experts and policy makers to discuss:
- How to sustain military, economic, and diplomatic support for Ukraine;
- The role of the UK, US, EU, NATO and the ‘coalition of the willing’ in shaping peace and deterrence;
- The long-term path to anchoring Ukraine in transatlantic institutions;
- How key European countries can take on more responsibility for shared security;
- How to enhance coordination and ensure European countries’ and US defence capabilities are aligned;
- How to maintain strong transatlantic cooperation on shared strategic interests.
Join us at the Polish Embassy in London for an in-depth discussion on the future of transatlantic cooperation, European security and the next phase of support for Ukraine.
