Dr Jeffrey Ordaniel

Main areas of expertise: Maritime security and governance, ASEAN regionalism and South China Sea geopolitics Dr Jeffrey Ordaniel is President and CEO of We Protect our Seas (WPS), a Manila-based maritime security think tank. He is also Associate Professor of International Security Studies at Tokyo International University, and lead convener for the Manila Dialogue on the South China Sea and the Annual Dialogue on ASEAN Maritime Security. From 2016 to 2019, he held the Admiral Joe Vasey Fellowship at the Pacific Forum in Honolulu, before serving as Director of the Forum’s Maritime Security Programme from 2020 to 2025.
