China’s Belt and Road Initiative: Ten years on
Pippa Ebel looks at the future of China’s Belt and Road Initiative through analysing the challenges it faces and how Beijing may adapt to them

Pippa Ebel is a fluent Mandarin speaker based in China and has supported international businesses’ operations in China over the past five years. She has worked across a range of areas including education, commerce, and government; she served as International Coordinator for Chengdu Westminster School, and later as a strategist for His Majesty’s Government’s GREAT Campaigns in China. Pippa is now carrying out research into the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as China’s domestic education policy. She will join Peking University as a Yenching Scholar in Autumn 2023.
