Our Geostrategy Forum convenes and connects prominent stakeholders for monthly breakfast discussions on key geostrategic issues and foreign, defence and international trade policy matters. A keynote speaker discusses a prominent topic before invited guests exchange their views and ideas in a roundtable format.
The Geostrategy Forum takes place once a month at the In and Out Naval and Military Club. Events are by invitation only and take place strictly off the record.

Rear Admiral Anthony Rimington
Assistant Chief of the Naval Staff (Policy)Rear Admiral Anthony Rimington has been Assistant Chief of the Naval Staff (Policy) since 2022. A member of the Royal Navy since joining as a University Cadet in 1991, he was selected for flying training and completed two deployments in 2006 in support of Operation Active Endeavour. Promoted to Commander, he took command of the 702 Naval Air Squadron in 2012 where he logged over 2500 flying hours, later moving in 2016 to the Ministry of Defence as Chief of Staff to the Carrier Enabled Power Projection team. He attended Durham University with a focus in Geography, graduating in 1995, following Fleet Training in HMS Boxer.

Honorary Chair, Geostrategy ForumDr Carl Hunter OBE is Chairman of Coltraco Ultrasonics, a high-exporting advanced manufacturer. He is also: Chairman of the British Exporters Association; Director-General of the Durham Institute of Research, Development and Invention; Director of the Centre of Underwater Acoustic Analysis; Professor-in-Practice at Durham University Business School; Visiting Fellow of the Royal Navy Strategic Studies Centre; and Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology.
