Caudwell Strong Britain: Report reception

10 September at 18:00 19:30 BST

On behalf of the Council on Geostrategy and John Caudwell, we are delighted to invite you to an exclusive drinks reception in Mayfair to launch the latest Caudwell Strong Britain Report: Making Britain a more attractive destination for foreign direct investment.

The event will feature a presentation of the Report’s findings by its author, Dr Mann Virdee, Senior Research Fellow at the Council on Geostrategy, alongside opening remarks by John Caudwell. Three additional guest speakers will also offer insights on the Report’s themes.

This marks the second year of the Caudwell Strong Britain programme at the Council on Geostrategy. It builds on the 2024 Report ‘British science and technology in 2024: Implications for “Net Zero”’, also authored by Dr Virdee, which set out how Britain can harness the green economy to become a Net Zero superpower.

The Caudwell Strong Britain programme explores how the United Kingdom can build a greener, more competitive and more resilient science and technology base, helping to unlock the nation’s potential for sustainable prosperity and strengthened national security. It focuses on key policy areas including infrastructure, skills, education and the broader innovation ecosystem.

Please note that this is an invitation only event.
