The Maritime Leaders’ Shipping Forum aims to foster a dynamic network of young professionals and established leaders in maritime affairs. The forum is kindly sponsored by Wallenius Lines and is delivered in partnership between the Council on Geostrategy and the UK Chamber of Shipping.
This session centres around: ‘Contested logistics in the High North and the Baltic Sea’, two regions where NATO’s ability to move assets and supplies is vital to reinforcing and sustaining operations in the event of a crisis. For many decades NATO has faced limited threat of interdiction to these efforts, but the threat picture has rapidly worsened. The session will explore what the critical vulnerabilities are and how we can ensure supply and reinforcement in the region including through closer civil-military cooperation, greater redundancy, and active defences.
This event will be off the record and will take place at The In & Out Naval and Military Club, 4 St James’s Square, London, SW1Y 4JU. Attendance is by invitation only.
