Our Geostrategy Forum convenes and connects prominent stakeholders for monthly breakfast discussions on key geostrategic issues and foreign, defence, and international trade policy matters. A keynote speaker discusses a prominent topic before invited guests exchange their views and ideas in a roundtable format.
The Geostrategy Forum takes place once a month at the In and Out Naval and Military Club. Events are by invitation only and take place strictly off the record.

H.E. Susanne Baumann
Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the United KingdomH.E. Susanne Baumann is German Ambassador to the United Kingdom, having assumed the position in September 2025. Prior to this, she has held multiple roles in the Federal Government of Germany, including as State Secretary for the Foreign Office from 2021 until 2025, Commissioner for Disarmament and Arms Control from 2018 until 2021, and Head of the Division for Security and Disarmament Policy from 2013 until 2015. She also served in positions at the German Embassy in Kuala Lumpur from 2002 until 2006, and as Deputy Head of Mission at the German Embassy in Phnom Penh from 1995 until 1998.

Honorary Chair, Geostrategy ForumDr Carl Hunter OBE is Chairman of Coltraco Ultrasonics, a high-exporting advanced manufacturer. He is also Chairman of the British Exporters Association; Director-General of the Durham Institute of Research, Development and Invention; Director of the Centre of Underwater Acoustic Analysis; Professor-in-Practice at Durham University Business School; Visiting Fellow of the Royal Navy Strategic Studies Centre; and Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology.
