A new Associate Fellow joins the Council on Geostrategy

The Council on Geostrategy is delighted to announce that Benedict Baxendale-Smith will be joining us as a Cuthbert Collingwood Associate Fellow in Maritime Strategy!

Benedict Baxendale-Smith is a doctoral researcher at King’s College London in the Department of Defence Studies, researching the role of the maritime-air domain in the Indo-Pacific strategies of Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom. In addition to working for a Member of Parliament, he has previously held a position at the Woodrow Wilson Centre in Washington, DC. He holds an MA in International Relations with distinction from Durham University.

Main areas of expertise: Defence and security, UK defence policy, US defence policy, sea power.
