The Council on Geostrategy is delighted to announce that Deniz Güzel is joining us as an Associate Fellow!
Deniz Güzel is an English-qualified lawyer. He began his legal career at a leading international law firm, gaining experience in handling complex commercial disputes, with a particular focus on public international law, class actions, and international arbitration. Deniz’s research focuses on legal warfare, and his book Total Lawfare: New Defense and Lessons from China’s Unrestricted Lawfare Program was published in 2024.
Prior to private practice, Deniz worked at the UN International Co-Prosecutor’ Office at the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC) and at several Westminster think tanks. He holds an MA in International Peace and Security from King’s College London and an LLB from the University of Bristol.
