The Council on Geostrategy, in partnership with King’s College, London, is delighted to announce that it will be hosting the 2023 iteration of the First Sea Lord’s Sea Power Conference. The conference, a key element of London Seapower Week, will be held at Lancaster House on 16th-17th May 2023.
As a compact maritime democracy, the United Kingdom, and many of its allies and partners, requires cutting-edge technology and the superior art of admiralty to secure a geoeconomic and geopolitical competitive edge, something which enables Britain’s ability to shape the international order. In May 2023, the Council on Geostrategy and King’s College, London, together with the Royal Navy and other senior stakeholders, will convene for the First Sea Lord’s Sea Power Conference to explore these issues and engage in a combination of panels and in-conversation sessions in a way which seamlessly includes diverse perspectives and backgrounds from the world over.
The majority of the conference proceedings will be held at Lancaster House. Situated opposite Buckingham Palace, this 19th century building with a rich political and royal history provides a magnificent setting for the prestigious Sea Power Conference.
